Office Professional Plus 2016 – Enable automatic updates

You can enable automatic updates by clicking on “Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows” in the “advanced options“ menu. Windows 10 should now also automatically update MS Office and other MS products (i.e. MS Visual Studio), while deploying Windows system updates.

If you click on “advanced options” in the control panel and tick the box next to “Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows”, MS Office will automatically be updated along with system updates.

You can view the installed updates by clicking on “View installed update history”.

If you are using Windows 7 Enterprise from the MS Campus EES, there is no option to enable MS Office updates along with Windows system updates. There is also no option to enable automatic updates within MS Office Professional Plus 2016 (MS Campus EES). We suggest downloading Microsoft Silverlight and enabling automatic updates during the installation. Now MS Office will also receive updates.
