The LAN connection in the Rechnerhalle requires and 802.1X authentication with your eduroam connections. The way in which this needs to be configured varies depending on your OS. Instructions can be found here:

  • Mag OS X: EN DE
  • M$ Windows: EN
  • Linux: EN

Note: DO NOT unplug the network cables of the Rechnerhalle's workstations. These use are on a different network which cannot be used for other purposes. In addition, this would disrupt the normal operation of those workstations, especially if the cabling are not restored to its original state upon leaving.

Note: You can borrow network cables the Helpdesk which is open Monday through Friday from 08:00--18:00. You will have to leave your student ID as a collateral.

Note: Remember: your eduroam credentials use <LRZ ID>@eduroam.mwn.de as username and use the same password as TUMonline. An LRZ ID follows the pattern aa##aaa, where 'a' represents a letter and '#' represents a number.
